The Five Questions

A repeatable shot list for event coverage. It is simple enough for someone else to use.

The question

People are not asking whether the image is well composed.

They are deciding whether to go. After two seasons covering festivals, the questions turned out to be stable. If the questions repeat, the framework can too.

01

What food is actually there?

Food in hand, with the vendor sign soft in the background. One frame answers both what and where.

02

Which stalls are worth the line?

Sometimes the queue says more than a caption can.

03

What does it cost?

Keep the question in the system, then decide whether the answer belongs in the frame, caption or comments.

04

Is there anything besides food?

Dragon dance, live music and the crowd watching it.

05

Is it a nice place to spend time?

Sunset, tents, string lights and the last half-hour before dark.

Question 03 · Platform constraint

The framework stays consistent. The answer can move.

RedNote distribution can penalize posts that state prices, so prices stay out of overlays and captions and move into the comments. On TikTok, the same subject can carry the price openly.

Published work

The method became a LinkedIn article and carousel.

The post explains the five questions in plain English. The carousel turns each question into one visual prompt.

Where this transfers

A useful system should work even when I am not there.

A restaurant owner, program coordinator or volunteer can shoot the five questions on a phone and have useful, ready-to-post content that same night.
